Overview
This mentorship is offered at no cost to individuals who are genuinely committed to becoming professional piano technicians. Participation is selective, allowing for meaningful, personal guidance. The goal is to provide supportive mentoring that helps each participant grow. This is not an employment program—it’s an opportunity to learn, develop, and build a professional, independent business. Having benefited from excellent training and mentorship myself, I aim to give back to the trade with integrity and care.


Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Completion of a basic piano technology program to demonstrate foundational technical skills.
2. Active PTG membership and pursuit of RPT certification for those not yet RPT. In an unregulated trade, PTG membership provides access to top resources, industry leaders, manufacturers, and a professional network beyond this mentorship.
3. Successful background check. Because piano technicians work in clients’ homes and institutions, a background check helps maintain trust, professionalism, and safety.

​Application
​Applications are accepted year‑round and reviewed as openings become available. Selection is based on dedication, professionalism, and alignment with program goals. It often begins with an informal meeting at a local coffee shop—a simple conversation to see if it’s the right fit. This mentorship is voluntary and not an employment relationship.​
